1. Your Privacy Matters

DailyGlowUp is designed with your privacy in mind. All your data is stored locally on your device. The only data transmitted is your photos, which are sent to our secure servers solely for AI skin analysis. We do not store these images after processing.

2. Facial Data Collection and Use

What We Collect

When you use DailyGlowUp's skin scanning feature, we collect facial photographs (selfies) that you voluntarily upload through the app.

How We Use It

  • Your photos are analyzed using artificial intelligence (Google Gemini API) to generate personalized skin quality scores across four metrics: hydration, clarity, texture, and radiance
  • Photos are stored on your device only to allow you to track your skin progress over time
  • We display your scan history and before/after comparisons within the app

Third-Party Sharing

  • Your photos are securely transmitted to Google (Gemini API) for AI-powered analysis only
  • Google processes images to generate skin scores but does not permanently store your photos or use them for model training
  • We do not share your photos with any other third parties
  • We do not use facial recognition technology or attempt to identify you from your photos

Data Retention

Photos are stored only on your device and are retained until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Your Rights

  • You can view all your uploaded photos in the app's scan history
  • You can delete individual photos at any time
  • You can request deletion of all your data by contacting help.dailyglowup@gmail.com
  • You can discontinue use of the scanning feature at any time

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

  • Face Photos: Selfies you take for skin analysis
  • Skin Metrics: AI-generated scores for Hydration, Clarity, Texture, and Radiance
  • Skincare Routines: Your personalized routines
  • Streak Data: Daily check-in and habit tracking records
  • Progress History: Weekly summaries and scan history

4. Data We Process

The only data sent to our servers is the photos you take for skin analysis. These images are transmitted securely, processed by our AI, and immediately discarded — we do not store your photos. All other data (skin metrics, routines, history) remains on your device.

5. AI Processing

When you take a photo for skin analysis, the image is sent to our backend server where AI processing occurs. The image is used solely to generate your skin metrics and is not retained after analysis is complete.

6. Data Control

Since all data is stored on your device, you have complete control. You can delete your data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.

7. Third-Party Services

Your photos are sent to Google (Gemini API) for AI analysis only and are not shared with any other third parties. We do not sell, rent, or distribute your images or any derived data to external parties.

8. Analytics and Third-Party Data Tracking

We may use third-party analytics and crash-reporting services to understand how the App is used, improve its performance, and fix issues. These services may collect:

  • Usage data: App interactions, feature usage, and session duration (aggregated and anonymized)
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version (not linked to your identity)
  • Crash and performance data: Error logs and performance metrics to help us fix bugs and improve stability

This data is used solely to operate, improve, and maintain the App. We do not use analytics data for advertising purposes or to track you across third-party apps or websites. Where our analytics providers collect data that could be used for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking, we will request your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before any such tracking occurs. You can manage tracking preferences in your device Settings.

Third-party analytics providers have their own privacy policies governing how they process data. We select providers that adhere to industry standards and applicable privacy regulations. For a current list of analytics providers we use, please contact us at help.dailyglowup@gmail.com.

9. Children's Privacy

DailyGlowUp is not intended for children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the app with an updated date.
